First-Time-Visitor Orientation

It's called the Co-Pilot Program
A fun one-day 'ground school', followed by two flights with you at the controls of a real plane.

Ground School and Flights take place at Boundary Bay Airport, in Delta, British Columbia.

Exact Location:
    Directions to Air Time Canada

Everyone aged 13 and older (99 is the oldest we've seen).

We have graduated almost 1400 Co-Pilots in the last 15 years.

Each class is for a specific Group - according to each sponsor's wishes.
A Group could be anything. Here are some examples:

Vegitarians   -   Single Moms   -   Men under 35   -   Teachers   -   Teens    ....

How you fit yourself into a group/class is explained later - under the heading "How".

We run between 10 and 20 Co-Pilot Classes a year.

They are Very Popular.

Susan Suggests: Don't be fussy! This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. When a chance comes up, take the class!

Why we do it.
We started out (15 years ago) working with Troubled Teens. Using a variation of the program to teach leadership, self-esteem, team-work, and responsibility. Over the years the program has developed into a powerful tool for helping everyone develop those qualities.

We do it because we honestly believe (and can see) that we are improving people's lives. Yes, it sounds corny .. but it's true anyway.

Why you should do it.
Well, here are a Few Reasons:

  • Make new friends
  • Laugh a lot
  • Feel great about yourself
  • Learn something new
  • Broaden your Horizons
  • Develop your leadership potential
  • Have a Ball

  •

Ok .. this is where it gets a little complicated.

Our biggest problem is that we keep having to cancel classes because we don't have enough people to fill them.

It only takes 16 people to fill a class - and we have plenty more than 16 interested in taking one.
The problem is that it takes 16 people who all fit into the same Group (see "Who" above) and who can make the same date.

So our registration process is all about sorting people into groups, figuring out which group is big enough to justify a class,
and then running (and filling) the class. There are two things I need you to do in order the facilitate that process:
    1. Subscribe to the Mailing List

We maintain a confidential mailing list (hosted by Google Groups) that I
use for announcing new classes and new groups.

Here is the link for subscribing:

    2. Fit yourself into a Group

I maintain a page that list all current and future classes. Please visit that page and add yourself to all the 'groups' that you qualify for
(even if a class for that groups hasn't been scheduled yet). When a group reaches critical mass, I will schedule the class and send
invitations to the first 16 people on the list.
