Overview
Careers in Aviation is a short (typically 1 hr) presentation that David Black takes around to high-schools and other interested groups.
It's a look at various aviation careers including piloting, air traffic control, avoinics technician, dispatcher, aircraft mechanic,
and many more.
It's an often humorous presentation and includes details like salary expectations, education requirements, industry trends,
and lots more.
Time at the end of the presentation can be used for questions and answers.
What is the Objective?
The objective of the presentation is to give the audience a better understanding of the many possible aviation-related careers. Many people
think 'pilot' when the question of aviation careers comes up - and are unaware of the many lucrative and rewarding careers that are available.
David also shows how a good education - even at the high-school level - is essential to success.
Which Careers are Discussed?
The following aviation-related careers are discussed in the presentation. Those marked by an asteric are discussed in more detail:

Of course David has an expansive knowledge of the industry (and has worked in many of the above areas) so can usually address specific careers beyond the list. Just ask.
What does it cost?
David volunteers his time.
David's travel expenses must be covered for presentations outside of the lower mainland.
What kind of Venue?
David will bring his own laptop computer with the presentation and movies. He can also bring a projector if none is available.
You'll need to provide space for theatre-style seating, a screen or wall to project onto, and a small table for props and handouts.
How do make it happen?
It's really simple. Just contact David Black ask:
