Sydney's Alkatraz
 
Sydney had it's own version of Alkatraz. And the Australians are very proud of it. Kind of a "Prizon within a Prizon" if you think about it. :-)
 
It was called Fort Denison, and it boasts an even better record than the
real Alkatraz: Zero Escapes.

World's Deadliest Bird
 
Australia is home to the deadliest snakes, the deadliest spiders, the deadliest centipeds, and the little know "Deadliest Bird" on the planet.
 
What you see on the right is a Cassowary. If you ever see one in the wild, run away as fast as you can.
 
Yes, I know it just looks like a bird. It is. But let me tell you a little about this bird:
 

It stands 6 feet tall

See those claws? They can rip a man open in one swipe.

It has a bad temper and doesn't even like to see people.

it runs at 50 miles-per-hour (that's 80 KPH).

It's too stupid to run away - so instead it runs Towards you.

and the mood of perpetual PMS!
